Hole 17 (Spinney Bend)

The seventeenth hole is a pronounced dog-leg to the right and both sides of the fairway are well-wooded with an internal out of bounds running down the right.

The corner of the dog-leg lies at the range of an average drive and leaves a downhill shot of around 150 yards to the well-guarded green which has run-offs to all sides. The approach to this green is one of the most difficult on the course - a running shot can be deflected into either wing bunker by the hogs-back which runs up to the front of the green whereas an aerial shot needs to be well-judged if it is to stop on the putting surface.
