Hole 4 (Road) - 289 Yards, Par 4

The fourth is a masterpeice of how to set a good challenge in a very small plot of land.

The area of the green used to be the site of a small farmhouse and has much of Colt's beautifully formed mounding so that one would never guess its former topography. From the tee, there is a good view of the well-placed bunkers and also of the out of bounds that runs all of the way down the right. The tee shot on this hole is important - it is best to be left of centre to steer clear of the out of bounds on the right and give yourself an approach shot which avoids playing over the bunkers and mounds which protect the green. A good tip here is to check the pin placement position on this hole while standing on the third tee.
