Hole 10 (Dingle)

The tenth is a longish par five from a back tee set between two alder trees.

The player can see an inviting fairway from the tee, with a drive bunker on the right-hand side, but has no view of the green. A typical drive avoiding the bunker will finish in, or short of, the hollow which runs across the fairway from the sixth green. The second shot has to be steered down a narrow strip of fairway between another right-hand bunker and a shallow hollow on the left and then two wing bunkers threaten the approach to the green. For the longer hitters, care needs to be taken as Timperley Brook, which runs to the left-hand side of the green, will collect any hooked or misdirected shots.
