The Ringway Captains Team prepared for the latest match at Home against a very strong Wilmslow team after what could best be described as a 'mixed' start to the season. The scene was set when Captain Clive Westbrook and Richard Brewster lost a tight match 1 down. This was to be the theme of the night - tight matches where Ringway narrowly lost out.

Peter Fitzpatrick and Jonathon Walton also lost one down whilst Fraser Gunning partnering Declan McKenna and Mervyn Jessop partnering Keith Spencer both lost 2 and 1.

Ian Cochrane and Cleve McCurdy lost 3 and 2 and Ringways sole victory of the night was Michael Blundell and Neil McLean who reversed the trend and won one up.

A disappointing 5 - 1 defeat for Ringway however the result sheet did not give a true reflection on how close the match was.

Next match is Stockport away so we can expect another hard match
